Are eneloop batteries lithium8/12/2023 ![]() They pretty much have an on off switch they are either working or they aren't unlike conventional alkaline batteries. That is the really neat thing about the Ni Mh batteries. ![]() It took a whopping 228 SHOTS AT FULL POWER to kill these super cells!! It went from shooting pretty much normally right to being expired and out of juice. I had the audible alert on the YN560 iii so I would be alerted when the ending was near because you can hear the recycle begin to take a little longer than the previous shots. The remarkable thing about this battery is how it performed right up until that very last flash. It was extremely steady throughout the entire shootout from the very first frames right up until the bitter end where, like all the other batteries tested, it finally was put to sleep by the power hungry Speed Light. The top dog in this competition was the very plain packaged Duracell Rechargeable 2500mAh Battery It is very easy to toss the retired batteries into a bag and pop new ones in but to wait every shot with seconds between each one is just not acceptable. The recycle time is of utmost importance because when shooting an event where your flash speed is critical, we cannot be standing and waiting for our flashes to be ready for that next shot. This was very tedious indeed but I can assure you I sampled each shot around the predetermined intervals (10, 20, 50th, etc) to make sure I was getting very specific results. Using the intervalometer to trigger the flash in a very mechanical, exacting way, I used an electronic stopwatch to record the recycle times. We will get to that and more below but let's get to the testing! Like any other product on the market, there have been some pretty advanced scientific break thru moments that have occurred over the past few years in the rechargeable battery world.įor many years, rechargeable batteries had a bad reputation because they weren't very powerful and they lost their charge very quickly.Īs a matter of fact, just within the last five years there have been some great strides made in the rechargeable battery world. Duracell Quantum Alkaline Batteries (1.5v)Īll links will take you to the product on Amazon.Duracell High-Capacity Rechargeable Batteries (2500mAh).Panasonic BK-3HCCA4BA Eneloop Pro AA High Capacity Ni-MH Batteries (2500mAh).Eneloop Panasonic AA NiMH Batteries (1900mAh).?tag=improvphotog-20″ target=”_blank”>AmazonBasics AA Rechargeable Batteries (1900mAh) AmazonBasics AA High-Capacity Rechargeable Batteries (2400mAh).Testing to failure was the goal and it worked very well. Using this method allowed me to record flash recycle times throughout the duration of the testing and also to gather information on just how many total flashes were possible from a set of the batteries when fully charged. I wanted to make sure the flash also was not burned out as well. When shooting at full power continuously, the batteries and flash can become EXTREMELY hot – so hot that you cannot touch the batteries for long! This would avoid thermal overload which would negate any results that were being recorded. The intervalometer was set to fire up to 300 shots at full 1/1 power with a 30 second delay between each shot. The test camera was a Nikon D3200 (could have been anything) placed on a tripod and connected to an Intervalometer. Many readers and podcast listeners of Improve Photography know that these are the chosen flash heads for many of the hosts and a whole slew of fans as well.Īt the recent ImprovePhotography Retreat in Phoenix, AZ, it became quickly apparent that this was the overwhelming choice of most everyone there! The test flash in this experiment was the inexpensive but very capable Youngnuo YN-560 iii. To assure authentic and fair results, the same flash was used to test every set of batteries. While the Eneloop PRO batteries were amazing, the regular Eneloops did not perform well. The Eneloop Pro batteries performed admirably and were close enough to the Duracell batteries that there was little difference between the two. It delivered 228 pops of a flash on full power with very fast recycle times. The short answer to the best battery for speedlights is that the Duracell Rechargeable 2500 mAh was the best performing battery in our tests. How do we know what is best? What will provide the best performance? The best cost? Or both? There are even more batteries choices available to us than there are speedlights brands. What I wanted to test for this article is which rechargeable batteries performed the very best in a speedlight flash. With a vast array of flashes, from top brands that cost hundreds of dollars to knockoffs that are very inexpensive, the choices are great to say the very least. Flash Photography today is an area within Photography that has never been easier to enter.

Civilization vi switch8/12/2023 ![]() WeMod is, however, supported by many WeMod Pro subscribers and is considered a safe way of providing cheats and making games more entertaining. It is advised that you read the reviews before installing the trainer as the cheats are unofficial and, therefore, may negatively affect your saved files, etc. Listed below are 13 cheats provided by WeMod: However, cheats can be added manually using a Civilization IV anthology trainer, which can be installed on the WeMod Civilization 6 trainer page. Review conducted on Nintendo Switch with a retail code provided by the publisher.Civilization IV anthology has no cheats included as an official part of the game. Lowlights: Even slower pace may annoy long time players Highlights: Looks great Runs great Civ VI on the go You probably won’t even know they’re there, and you’re reward for this benign ignorance is one of the greatest, deepest and most complex turn-based strategy titles ever created. If this port is your first exposure to the Civilization series, as I suspect it will be for many Switch owners, then I doubt the many nips and tucks required to make the console version work will concern you. Whether it will be updated to include the forthcoming Gathering Storm DLC remains to be seen, though we strongly doubt 2K will be quite that charitable. It’s … a lot of content, and quite a bargain for the game’s asking price. In terms of content, the Switch version contains all of the currently available content for Civ VI, including the Gods and Kings expansion and DLC nations like Australia. ![]() I also didn’t have to worry about battery life - its staid pace means button presses aren’t a constant and I found I’d barely made a dent in the charge by the time I got home to put the Switch back on its dock. When I get home, I can put back on the TV dock, hit the couch and continue. The Switch version allows me to take the game with me anywhere I go, and play a few turns throughout the day when I get some downtime. That the average game of Civilization takes many hours to complete makes it an ideal fit for the Switch’s grab-and-go design. ![]() The game runs well on TV mode, and puts in an extremely solid performance in handheld which only adds to its appeal for me. The Switch version of the game represents only a minor graphical downgrade from the PC version, which was already keeping things fairly simple with its animation-inspired aesthetic. Having the pace of each game drop again means it takes much longer to secure any of the game’s victory conditions, but it remains every bit as satisfying when you do. This, I’m sure, will raise a few eyebrows. The effect this move has had on the game as a whole is that the pacing is now much slower. This, to me, is the primary trade-off one must make with the Switch version of Civ VI - you lose the immediacy of the keyboard and mouse controls BUT you can take Civ VI with you in a way that is more portable than almost any laptop would allow. The first thing that may irk Civ devotees is that the breeziness with which the mouse lets players navigate the game’s many menus has been crammed into the console’s multi-button control layout. That it exists at all, let alone that play as well as it does, is kind of astounding. Civilization VI on the Switch represents a bit of a bumpy, cumbersome transition from its PC origins, but is nevertheless a tremendous achievement in console porting. How to navigate from one of a hundred menus to the next without the nimble keyboard and mouse and keep the game from being hopelessly confusing? This was, of course, before the Nintendo Switch came along. The game’s overall complexity and forest of nested menus made a jump to console seem all but impossible. A great game to be sure, but a very complicated one. Civilization VI was already complicated game long before the decision was made to port it to console.

4 lines unlimited data8/12/2023 ![]() If you switch to Verizon and bring your own phone the carrier will give you $180 back over 36 months. You do, however, get Verizon's network for $120 a month for four lines, assuming you have automatic payments set up. While the names are flipped, the core offer is still largely the same: There are no streaming perks like the Disney Bundle with this plan, no hotspot data and you can't hop on Verizon's fastest 5G networks (which it calls Ultra Wideband). Verizon's updated plans have replaced the carrier's previous Welcome Unlimited offer with. All the deals also require that you set up AutoPay and paperless billing. These prices do come with a couple of caveats: Unlike T-Mobile's Magenta, Magenta Max, Go5G or Go5G Plus plans, taxes and fees are not included in any of these prices, making the actual total a little higher. The four-line option is $100 at T-Mobile, compared to $140 at the other carriers. Three lines will also run $90 at T-Mobile thanks to a promotion, compared to $135 monthly at AT&T or Verizon. Two lines of Essentials Savings is $80 a month, while a similar offering from AT&T or Verizon runs $120 a month. The savings of T-Mobile's plan also become more pronounced the more lines you add. You can always reevaluate your options as the three major carriers roll out the latest updates to their respective 5G networks over the next couple of years. We should note that Verizon's 5G Start doesn't support its fastest forms of 5G. All three carriers offer 5G access with their base plans. In addition to being $5 less than AT&T's option, T-Mobile's Essentials includes unlimited mobile hotspot (albeit at slower "3G speeds"), giving you a little more flexibility. In this price-focused comparison, T-Mobile's new "limited time" option comes in at $50 for a single line, $5 a month cheaper than AT&T's Unlimited Starter and $10 less than Verizon's 5G Start or T-Mobile's own regular Essentials pricing. Unlimited talk, text and data are included for all of the carrier's base unlimited plans. Those looking to save the most on unlimited service from the major carriers may be best with T-Mobile's Essentials Savings. You may need to click "see more plans" on T-Mobile's site to get this option to appear. (If you need three or more, you may want to look at one of T-Mobile's other plans, which could be cheaper, thanks to various promotions that the carrier regularly runs.) It also is worth mentioning that T-Mobile allows for multiple lines on this plan, with two lines running $80 a month. Even at "3G speeds," the option could be a useful feature in a pinch. While the prices between AT&T and T-Mobile are now the same, we give T-Mobile the edge here, mainly because it includes hotspot access. You do get unlimited hotspot at "3G speeds," along with unlimited talk, text and 2G data in Mexico and Canada.Īt $50 for a single line, the Essentials Savings plan is now the same price for a single line as AT&T's Value Plus plan, and both could be solid options for those looking for a single line without frills. T-Mobile hasn't said how long the Essentials Savings option will hang around, but we break down how it compares to the carrier's plans here.Īs before, perks like free Netflix or the bundling of taxes and fees into the sticker price aren't included. The data remains unlimited, and you now get 50GB of high-speed data as opposed to the 20GB that Base Essentials offered. It replaced that option with an Essentials Savings plan, a "limited time" offer of $50 a month for a single line. T-Mobile recently reshuffled its plans, getting rid of what was our previous pick in this spot, the Base Essentials plan that offered a single line for $45 per month.

Doubles pokemon showdown team8/12/2023 ![]() ![]() The first and most popular way of rounding out a team focuses more on covering up the weaknesses in a team with Pokémon that also have additional synergy with your core. ![]() Allow me to go a little more in detail with the two that I just mentioned.Ĭovering your team's weaknesses with glues and synergy The main goal is to cover as much of the metagame as possible, alongside what your specific opponents might bring, whether they be on the ladder or in tournaments. Whether it be by adding Pokémon that patch the holes of the core and also provide versatility or simply adding another core that can handle the previous core's weaknesses, there are a variety of ways to round out a given team. In this day and age, it's almost impossible. Very rarely will you ever have a pair of Pokémon that can cover everything. It also appreciates Regieleki's ability to outspeed and OHKO Pokémon such as Cinderace, Togekiss, Urshifu-R, and Pheromosa. Kyurem-B is a bulkier threat, utilizing both its notable bulk and great coverage to handle threats that Regieleki cannot cover, such as Naganadel, Zygarde, and Landorus-T. Regieleki functions as an exceedingly fast glass cannon that packs a punch with Life Orb Transistor-boosted STAB moves alongside providing speed control in Electroweb. Regieleki and Kyurem-B pair exceptionally well with each other due to their general power, combined coverage, and ability to cover each other's weaknesses. Here is an example, for instance: Core Example Teambuilding in 2v2 Doubles is also more core-oriented, mainly cores of two with members that complement each other very well. These things make teambuilding more offensively driven, as Pokémon that have the Speed, power, and coverage to take on a wide array of Pokémon are more valuable. The primary differences come with the mechanics that are the essence of the metagame: a limit of four Pokémon per team and the two Pokémon that you pick at Team Preview being the only ones available for battle. To start my in-depth analysis on the ins and outs of 2v2 Doubles teambuilding, I would like to say that it doesn't differ that much from general Doubles teambuilding. Most of the resources are based on Generation 8, the current generation at the moment, but others are focused on older generations of 2v2 Doubles that still see tournament play to this day. To preface my in-depth analysis on 2v2 teambuilding, there are many community-provided resources that can help you with your teambuilding. This article serves as a guide for users to learn the general intricacies that come with building in this metagame. I've been approached by many who like the premise of the metagame but either don't have teams to use or don't know where to start when building them. If you don't know already, I'm the tier leader for a metagame called 2v2 Doubles, a Doubles metagame in which you bring 4 Pokémon to battle and pick 2 to battle with.

Lunar year 20228/12/2023 ![]() Hence, most people will engage in other activities like visiting a temple. While most countries that observe LNY offer three to seven days of public holidays, celebrations don’t end until the 15th day of the first lunar month, also known as the Lantern Festival. Just because the new year has begun doesn’t mean you’re allowed to rest. Vmware fusion 10 back button mouse8/12/2023 ![]() Luckily this changed with the arrival of Parallels Desktop 18 which added the ability to download and buy the ARM version of Windows 11 directly within Parallels itself. The main problem here is that WoA isn’t normally licensed to individual users, which has meant that owners of M1 and M2 Macs faced both technical and licensing problems if they wanted to run Windows on their Macs. Windows On ARM, aka WoA, is Microsoft’s version of Windows is designed to run on ARM chips. The good news is that an ARM version of Windows does exist. Even if Boot Camp was an option for modern Macs, because the M-series processors are not compatible with the with the x86 version of Windows, they would only be able to run an ARM version of Windows. These new Macs that are based on the M1 chip – or any of its successors including the M1 Pro and Max, the M2 and the M2 Pro and Max – don’t offer Boot Camp. Rather than the x86 architecture used by Intel processors, the Apple’s M1 processors use a different architecture, known as ARM (named after Arm Ltd, the British company that originally designed the chips). However, in 2020 Apple announced that it would be moving away from using Intel processors to its own Apple Silicon processors and this transition began with the arrival of the ARM-based M1 Chip in November 2020. There are millions of Intel-based Macs still in use all around the world that can still use either Boot Camp or virtualization to run Windows. ![]() The only disadvantage is that you need a pretty fast Mac with plenty of memory and storage to run Windows as a VM, since it means that your Mac is effectively running two operating systems at the same time. ![]() This is a great solution as it allows you to run the Windows apps that you need right alongside your main Mac apps as well. So you can create a VM on your Mac and then install Windows – or another operating systems, such as Linux – on the VM. Virtualization programs such as Parallels Desktop and VMWare Fusion run on the macOS, but allow you to create a Virtual Machine – or VM – that mimics the hardware of a Windows PC. Luckily there are plenty, many of which use virtualization to create a Virtual Machine that emulates the computer system required to run the operating system of your choice. In the case of M-series Macs, and for anyone with an older Mac that wants to run Windows 11, or two or more operating systems side by side, you’ll need an alternative to Boot Camp. There are third-party solutions that address both of these issues. Another issue, specifically with Windows 11 on Macs, is that Windows 11 requires the presence of a TPM (trusted platform module) to run and Macs don’t have these. Many people find it inconvenient to constantly switch back and forth between the macOS and Windows. The problem with Boot Camp is that it forces users to make a choice – either you run the macOS or you run Windows. Users could simply dual boot a Mac, starting it up running either the macOS or Windows. This is a utility that allows you to partition your Mac’s hard drive or SSD – effectively splitting it in two – leaving the main macOS on one partition, and then allowing you to install Windows on the new partition.
